I’m an interdisciplinary audio-visual artist and arts educator working across sound, image, and expanded narrative. My practice is research-driven, drawing on Black diasporic frameworks and an ongoing interest in astrology as ways of thinking through history, cosmology, and cultural production. I have a background in drawing and painting (BFA, OCAD University, 2011) and an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of Waterloo (2024).
My experiences as a biracial woman with Afro-Caribbean and French-Canadian roots fuel my interest in uncovering overlooked stories within Black diasporic history and tracing the connections that move across the diaspora. I pursue this through research into Black musical histories, following threads that span past and present and intersect with larger historical frameworks.
I work with found and archival materials, create handmade records, sonic collages, and mixed-media works that blend analog and digital techniques. Astrology functions within these practices as both a creative framework and an analytical tool, guiding my process of interpretation, remix, and storytelling.
I’m open to collaborating and have a range of experiences and creative skills! For more details, please refer to my CV.
